A semi-annual lab meeting was held at the Kanazawa Student Community Civic Center.

Our lab members participated in the 91th Annual meeting of the Japanese Society of Parasitology (Obihiro, Hokkaido).

A semi-annual lab meeting was held at the Kakuma Guest House in Kanazawa University.

吉田教授と西浦さん（M1）が、オックスフォード大学ジェンナー研究所で共同研究の打ち合わせを行いました。ジェンナー研究所は、ワクチン法を開発したイギリスの医師エドワード・ジェンナーにちなんで創設されたワクチン研究所で、マラリア、HIV、結核などに対する最先端のワクチン開発研究を行っています。写真はHill研究室前で撮影したもので、右から順にHILL教授（ワクチン開発部門長）、吉田教授、SINDEN教授（インペリアル大学）。

研究室旅行で、能登島と志賀町へ行きました。本年度から、B4の中谷さん、西浦さん、松下さんが加わりました。

ハマダラカ吸血感染実験。帯広畜産大学の福本先生のご協力のもと、ハマダラカを用いた大規模感染実験を行いました。図は、以前にオオシスト形成を確認した感染ハマダラカを採集している模様です。こちらは三日熱マラリアワクチンの効果をたしかめる実験です。

第53回日本熱帯医学会（とかちプラザ・帯広）。当研究室からは、緒方さん（M1）と伊從が発表しました。一般演題トップでの発表でしたが、いろいろ質問していただき、先生方に感謝です。

免疫実験〜感染ハマダラカの確認（帯広畜産大学との共同研究）。帯広畜産大学・原虫病センターにて、遺伝子組換えマラリア原虫を感染させたハマダラカを舟津さん（B5）が解剖している模様です。感染蚊は同大学の福本晋也先生に準備していただきました。非常に高いオオシスト形成率で、この10日後にマウスに感染させる予定です。

ハマダラカ吸血感染実験（自治医大との共同研究）。松岡裕之教授（自治医大）のご協力のもと、開発したマラリアワクチンの効果をハマダラカを用いた大規模感染実験により評価しました。図は、中谷さん（B4）が蚊をいれたカップの上に免疫したマウスをおき、吸血感染させている模様です。熱帯熱マラリア由来遺伝子組換えネズミマラリア原虫を用いた感染実験となります。

研究室旅行で、山中温泉に行きました。
